1978 GMC Motor Home
 

This motor home has spent 28 years driving across the United States.  From it's 

flooded out home of New Orleans, LA., it's owner drove to Ohio to have 

Touch-Up Express work some magic and give this tired looking rig a facelift.

Exposure to the elements have taken a toll on the original vinyl stripes of this rig.  Remarkably, the majority 

of the side stripes remained in very good condition.  From the drivers area and all around the front was in sad shape.  

It was decided to redo the front drivers section of the rig.  We started with complete removal of the old vinyl.  

Since the original base color was pitted from stone chips we sanded and prepped the front for repairing.  

Note base color and all 4 stripe colors were mixed and matched by eye.

Touch-Up Express was onsite prepping and masking.  It takes careful 

thought and planning to lay out the stripe pattern and feather the 

colors in sequence to match the original stripping.

The results were better than the original.  Notice the original stripe was only one color across the front.  

The talents of Touch-Up Express continued the tri color stripe and even inverted the light top and 

dark bottom color per the customer's request.  At this stage in the above photos the new black and 

chrome side molding was not yet installed.

Note the undetectable color change from the repainted front to the original rear section.
